Marble Tissue Box Covers & Jaali-Carved Holders

The tissue box is the object every carefully arranged room has to accommodate and nobody wants to look at. A stone cover solves it — the box disappears and something worth seeing takes its place.

Jaali carving

The lattice openwork on these pieces is called jaali, a Mughal architectural technique that appears throughout the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Each aperture is cut through the stone by hand. It is unforgiving work — a slip at the final apertures ruins weeks of effort — and it is why alabaster, which is softer and slightly translucent, is the usual choice.

Fit

Sized for standard rectangular tissue boxes. Check dimensions on the product page against your preferred brand, as box sizes vary by market.

Where they work

Guest bathrooms, bedside tables, and desks — anywhere the alternative is a printed cardboard box undermining an otherwise finished room.
